EMANITA's purpose is to deliver a joyful experience to as many people as possible. The playful, interactive aspects of the exhibit provide direct engagement with art, science and nature. This is especially valuable for people who struggle to connect with (or are unable to access) these subjects. We intend to provide an exciting, informative experience that is fun and welcoming to all.
With this project we want to bring the hidden world of mycelium into the public eye. As keen foragers and mushroom enthusiasts, we are always looking for ways to share this interest with others.
Mycology (the study of fungi) is an under-represented field of science that harbours a wealth of potential for helping humankind move towards a healthier and sustainable future. We believe that it is important to share this hopeful message with the world and inspire the mycologists of tomorrow.
